Description
By the late 1950s, Maurice Golubov had crowded the studio in his Brooklyn apartment with paintings of all sizes. At this point in his art career, he decided to move his studio into Manhattan, where half of his work was created. Maurice struggled with this initial move, as he missed the music that reverberated in his Brooklyn home. This ‘Untitled’ Miniature created in 1956 was a piece likely created in Manhattan, whether it be quietly on his commercial job – or in his (Flatiron District) studio located at E. 22nd street.
The collector of this ‘Untitled’ Miniature – 1956 Painting will receive a notarized certificate of authenticity from the estate upon purchase.
